No2 North Street is a 170 sq metre bungalow built on a steep, sloping garden in a conservation area, in the grounds of a Grade II listed house and next to a high wall of an old bus garage, now converted to houses.
A house designed to accommodate an elderly occupant with lots of day light and views over the garden and stream.

The aim of the design was to have a light footprint and minimal visual impact on both the listed house and neighbouring new builds, a hideaway garden house.
A low-energy, highly insulated, low-impact,  two-bedroom house built on a single story with ICF construction, on a concrete stilted platform.
Clad in black timber with large windows and a sedum roof, and a balcony overlooking the garden.

This project was a design and build project we achieved planning permission and oversaw the building.
