Annashola design is a contemporary take on the planter’s bungalow, tailored for a client who grew up in the tea plantations.
Situated in Tamil Nadu, overlooked by the Nilgiri Mountains, which are part of the Western Ghats, in the beautiful, rural, forested area of Masinagudi. The design features high vaulted ceilings to maximize the through draft, with all rooms opening to the outside.

High ceilings, fans, and large covered external spaces provide shade from the sun, eliminating the need for air conditioning.
Emphasizing a vernacular feel, the building utilizes local trades and recycled wood for the shutters, maintaining traditional themes and building processes.
